The glacier changes in the Alps from the GRACE and GRACE Follow-On Missions (2002-2023)

This dataset contains glacier mass change solutions for the Alps derived from GRACE and GRACE-FO data between April 2002 and September 2023. The dataset includes results from three experiments applying different forward modeling approaches: Ex1: Global unconstrained forward modeling Ex2: Regional constrained forward modeling Ex3: Spatial mascon fitting In addition, we provide glacier mass change results derived from the JPL mascon solution. Methods:Data were processed using GRACE/GRACE-FO Level-2 spherical harmonic solutions from COST-G. Corrections applied include:- Solid Earth deformation correction based on geodetic land surface displacement data- Forward modeling to mitigate leakage effects- Hydrological signal removal using GLDAS Noah V2.1 and ERA5-Land Please see readme.txt for further details.
