Average monthly encounter rate of beached birds collected by the COASST program in Alaska, May 2006 to January 2020

Data are collected on fixed stretches of beach wherein a comprehensive search of beached bird carcasses following a standardized protocol constitutes a survey event. Carcasses encountered are measured, tagged, identified and photographed. This dataset includes an effort-controlled metric: new birds encountered per kilometer per month/year across distinct marine ecosystem regions in Alaska. This dataset is presented as 1 CSV file: Regional Summary Data COASST 2005-2019.csv.
