Trigonelline suppressed BMMC degranulation and decreased the production of cytokines and inflammatory mediators in a dose-dependent manner. The phosphorylation of proteins related to inflammatory signaling pathway and nuclear factor transcription were inhibited. Trigonelline can alleviate the pathological damage in the OVA-induced asthma model and reduced the level of serum IgE and Th2 cytokine levels.
