Data for Curveira-Santos et al. "Context-dependency of carnivore co-occurrence across a multi-use conservation landscape"

Camera-trapping data used to describe context-dependency in carnivore spatial (i. <i>Occupancy data</i>) and temporal (ii. <i>Activity data</i>) co-occurrence patterns across three adjacent wildlife-oriented management contexts in the Maputaland region of northern KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa.<br>i. <i>Occupancy data </i>Rows represent sites (camera-traps). Columns represent the management context (area [PA - provincial protected area, PR - private game reserve, GR - commercial game ranches]), number of effective trap-days per site (trap_days), species-specific detection frequencies (by species english name), and values for detection (TRAIL_W, VEG_D) and occupancy (TREE_C) covariates.<br>ii. <i>Activity data</i>Rows represent species-specific independent records (&gt;1 hr). Columns represent the species (species), the management context (area [PA - provincial protected area, PR - private game reserve, GR - commercial game ranches]), time of detection converted to circular and solar time (time), and date of detection (date [dd/mm/yyyy]).
