An interaction of several volumes with negative buoyancy during their deepening in freshwater environment

A database gives photo-recordings of laboratory experiments of deepening of several volumes (2 mL) with negative buoyancy in freshwater environment. The density difference between the fresh water in the hydroflume and the volume with negative buoyancy (with salt and dye) was 10^-4 g/cm^3. To record the process of deepening of individual volumes a Sony-58α digital camera (20 Mp) with a frame rate of 1.78 Hz was used.
The [0_special_devices] folder contains images of a general view of the special input device used in the experiments: (i) three funnels, the centers of which are located at a distance of 5 cm from each other – used in series of weak interactions of small volumes of water with negative buoyancy and during “leapfrog”; (ii) two funnels, the centers of which are located at 1-1.5 cm – were used for the case with active interaction and the wave nature of the interaction; (iii) two funnels, the centers of which are located at a distance of 3 cm from each other – were used for the case of interaction of volumes on the bottom slope.
Folder [1] contains two series of weak interactions between deepening volumes of salt water in freshwater environment.
Folder [2] contains two series of active interactions between deepening volumes of salt water in freshwater environment.
Folder [3] contains one series of experiments in which the wave nature of the interaction of deepening volumes of salt water in freshwater environment was recorded.
Folder [4] contains two series of interaction of volumes on the bottom slope (bottom slope angle is 4 degrees).
Folder [5] contains one series that describes the case of “leapfrog”: the second volume overtakes the first, and then the first overtakes the second.
