Cairina moschata domestica Genome sequencing and assembly

The aim of this project is to sequence and assemble the genome of Cairina moschata, the Muskovy duck. This domesticated duck is used for meat and foie gras (a liver delicacy) production in France, either directly, or after crossing with the common duck Anas plotyrhynchos.
