Pax5+/- and wildtype (WT) mice are housed in conventional (CF) and specific pathogen free (SPF) environments. 6 mice per cage; 8 cages total. Half of cages are genotype homogeneous, the other half is mixed, i.e. 3 WT and 3 Pax5+/- mice together. Fecal samples are collected after 1 and 10 month of housing. Results: CF microbiome shifts over time: strong for CF, faintly for SPF. Genotype difference is strong, but not for mixed cages. Mixed microbiomes are half and half (sourcetracker analysis) and do not prevent from Leukemia in Pax5+/-.
