Six drip-irrigated cotton fields with different historical backgrounds of reclamation were selected for the study site, and the durations of mulched drip irrigation were 1, 5, 10, 15, 20, and 25 years, with a total of six treatments, which were labeled as Y01, Y05, Y10, Y15, Y20, and Y25, respectively.
