This study looks at the biosynthetic potential of bacterial isolates from Moon Snail egg mass microbiota. We seek to understand the key metabolites produced by the microbiome that protect the eggs from biofouling and predation in the open ocean, as well as their pharmaceutical potential. Specifically, we are looking in this project for immune-modulating compounds by using molecular networking and biological screening approaches.
