## **Abstract** \n\nThis dataset and its metadata statement were supplied to the Bioregional Assessment Programme by a third party and are presented here as originally supplied.\n\nExtraction of data determined to be older than Carboniferous based on the Maxage field from detailed mapping of geological unit outcrops.\n\n## **Purpose** \n\nTo indicate where rock deemed to be “Basement” for the purposes of hydrogeological investigations being discussed within the contextual statement outcrop. In this case, “Basement” is inclusive of all rocks interpreted to be older than the Arckaringa Basin (ie older than Carboniferous).\n\n## **Dataset History** \n\nOriginal data was published by PIRSA (now DMITRE) from their geological map series, aerial photography mapping, PIRSA (DMITRE) report books and investigation, manual digitising and scanning.
