资源简介:
This metadata entry refers to measurements of oceanic carbon dioxide made by Michel Frankignoulle and oceanic ammonium made by Marc Elskens and Xose Salgado Alvarez during the Belgica 9714C research cruise on the Iberian Slope in the North-East Atlantic; as part of the Joint Global Ocean Flux Study (JGOFS) and the Ocean Margin EXchange (OMEX) programmes. The cruise began on 21st June 1997 and ended on 30th June 1997 with a spatial coverage of +42N to +43N latitude and +9W to +10W longitude. The data consists of: -247 measurements of the partial pressure of carbon dioxide (pCO2) in the water column, computed from pH and alkalinity; -247 measurements of the concentration of carbon (total inorganic) (TCO2) per unit volume of the water column (dissolved plus reactive particulate phase), computed from pH and alkalinity; -21 measurements of the concentration of ammonium (NH4) per unit volume of the water column (dissolved plus reactive particulate phase) by manual colorimetric analysis; and -153 measurements of the concentration of ammonium (NH4) per unit volume of the water column (dissolved plus reactive particulate <0.4um phase) by filtration and colorimetric autoanalysis. See below for further details.
