Broward Vulnerability Assessment Flood Depth

This data represents the flood depths (above the 2018 Broward County DEM) for Broward County using the MIKE SHE hydrological model. The model was configured to simulate flood scenarios for current and future planning horizon using the 2018 Broward County 2-foot DEM. Key inputs included local topography, land use, relevent hydrological parameters, and several design rainfall, storm surge and sea level rise scenarios. The simulation results provide a comprehensive assessment of potential flood depths across various watersheds in Broward County, offering critical insights for flood risk management and urban planning. The generated flood depth data will serve as a valuable resource for informing infrastructure design, emergency response planning, and policy development aimed at mitigating flood risks in the region.
