Previous studies revealed that endogenous retroviruses can fuse with downstream sequences to generate chimeric transcripts. To identify the chimeric transcripts produced by MLT2A1 in 8C-like cells and 8C embryos and to unveil their potential biological function, Nanopore sequencing was utilized.
