The goal is to assess the impact of two different strains of Streptococcus agalactiae (E8-UEL, serotype Ib, and MaranhAo, serotype III) in the brain of Nile tilapia juveniles. Fish were intraperitoneally infected with the bacteria and the brain was collected upon the appearance of erratic swimming.
