Environmental Ordinance, Urban Area

The Environmental Regulation sets out a basic scheme for sustainable urban development. The starting point is that the possibilities in the Stedelijk area are first used or the possibilities in vacant or vacant heritage elsewhere in the municipality. Based on the Brabant environmental vision, attention is drawn to the challenges of a safe, healthy living environment, energy transition, climate adaptation and a competitive, sustainable economy. Therefore, these aspects have been specifically identified so that they are involved in the development of a plan from the outset. In the case of urban developments, a relationship has also been established with the agreements made in the regional consultation. The urban area is updated twice a year in map adaptation rounds based on established and entered into force environmental plans or environmental permits for urban development. These are added to the urban area, even though the areas sometimes still have to be developed.
