Gut Microbiome in Septic Mice

Sepsis is a leading cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide. There are many studies on the gut microbiota of patients with sepsis, which cannot directly reflect the influence of sepsis, as a single variable, on the gut microbiota because the gut microbiota is affected by treatment of sepsis. Therefore, we designed this animal experiment to explore gut microbiome variety. CLP-induced sepsis in mice changes the structure of the gut microbiome, and innate metabolites affect the prognosis of septic mice.
