资源简介:
This collection comprises images from an archaeological evaluation that was undertaken by Worcestershire Archaeology at land off the Longshoot, Nuneaton, Warwickshire in July 2020. It was commissioned by Lanpro Services Ltd on behalf of their client, in advance of a proposed residential development. The archaeological features identified within the trenching are of negligible significance and are a product of post-medieval and modern agricultural practices. Previous archaeological trial trenching during Phases 1 and 2 of the development identified limited archaeological remains comprising truncated ridge and furrow, a shallow undated ditch and a modern field boundary. In addition to this, no artefacts of archaeological interest, that could indicate the presence of significant features nearby, were recovered. The findings from this evaluation broadly supports the previous body of work undertaken during Phases 1 and 2, which suggests the site is agricultural in character.
