资源简介:
The acidic pH of water impacts the biological physiology of fish, leading to issues such as acid-base imbalance, impaired gill function, and increased mortality. Within the genus Oryzias, the Japanese medaka or Japanese ricefish (O. latipes) is a well-known aquatic animal model due to its potential usefulness in various fields of biological research. In Thailand, the dwarf medaka or Thai ricefish (O. minutillus) is the smallest Oryzias species and contributes to freshwater ecosystems throughout Thailand. However, there is limited knowledge regarding the molecular biology and fish-associated bacteria of this species under acidic conditions from natural habitats. Here, the aims of this study was address bacterial microbiota in gill tissue of dwarf medaka from natural freshwater of acidic environments.
