Data and code for "Lianas challenge automated extraction of individual-tree structure from terrestrial laser scanning in tropical forests

This repository contains point-cloud data, Quantitative Structure Models and analysis code associated with the manuscript “Lianas challenge automated extraction of individual-tree structure from terrestrial laser scanning in tropical forests.” The data include manually delineated focal trees and matched RayExtract and TreeLearn segmentation outputs from Barro Colorado Island and Gigante Peninsula, Panama. The code supports tree matching, voxel-based segmentation evaluation, TreeLearn post-processing, structural metric extraction, and downstream analysis of segmentation errors across liana gradients.
