Two small machine-readable reference tables for specifying garment fabric. fabric-areal-density-reference.csv — 41 rows, 60–600 g/m², mapping areal density to ounces per square yard, a weight band and typical garment use. The oz/yd² column is derived from the international definitions of the avoirdupois ounce (28.349523125 g) and the international yard (0.9144 m), giving 1 oz/yd² = 33.9057474748823 g/m² — not the rounded 33.9 used in most industry spreadsheets. That rounding drifts about 0.03%: negligible on a swatch, roughly 6 kg across a 20-tonne order. Areal density is standardised as ISO 3801 and ASTM D3776/D3776M. uniform-textile-standards-crossref.csv — 10 rows mapping the standards governing uniform and protective textiles to the property each measures: areal density, dimensional change after laundering, flame resistance, high-visibility, colourfastness, tensile strength, and human-ecological safety under OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100.
