Vegetation monitoring by hydropower reservoir in East Iceland

Data used in a research article titled "Decadal vegetation changes in a subarctic, subalpine ecosystem: Can effects of Iceland’s largest hydropower reservoir, climate change, and herbivory be detected?" DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.1111/avsc.12772
The data describes estimated cover of each vascular plant species, as well as other vegetation and surface types, in each plot at each of three sites included in vegetation monitoring in the East Icelandic highlands, following the construction of the country's largest hydropower plant. See research article for study design details. Baseline surveys were conducted in 2006-2008, resurveys in 2015-2017. Taxon names are based on the Annotated checklist of vascular plants of Iceland (DOI: 10.33112/1027-832X.57).
