Influence of Workdays and Non-Workdays on Traffic Accident Patterns in Catalonia in 2019

This project involves analyzing a processed dataset based on open government data regarding traffic accidents in Catalonia, specifically focusing on incidents involving fatalities and injuries. The original dataset was filtered to retain only the most relevant variables for analyzing each accident. Additional data, such as public holidays, was incorporated to classify each case as occurring on either a workday or a non-workday. The dataset contains various variables, including details about the road setting, accident type, speed limits, time of occurrence, and the number of victims. The goal of this project is to analyze and compare the characteristics and severity of traffic accidents, differentiating between those that occurred on workdays and those on non-workdays in 2019. The first file is a CSV containing the processed dataset, while the second file is an Excel workbook that includes the data, codebook and dashboard with visualizations and tables summarizing key insights from the analysis.
