Continuing the Ephemeris of the CCO Pulsar in Puppis A

We detected spindown of the pulsar in Puppis A, which requires a dipolemagnetic field of only 2.9e10 G, the smallest of any young neutron star. Thisconfirms the antimagnetar scenario, but there is possibly some phase jitter inthe ephemeris. We also detected an Xray spectral feature that is either anemission line at virgul0.7 keV or an absorption line at virgul0.46 keV, which isconsistent with a photospheric cyclotron resonance. However, its strength isapparently variable in time. We propose to double the time span of the ephemeristo confirm the spindown rate and test for torque noise and any spectralvariability, which could be indicative of accretion of supernova debris. truncated!, Please see actual data for full text [truncated!, Please see actual data for full text]
