The elucidation of the genome of Exiguobacterium sp. MH3 strain isolated from rhizosphere of Lemna minor sampled in China will allow the investigation of genomic attributes that can be involved to adaptations of organisms under a wide range of conditions which will help transcriptome and proteome studies to discover genes involved in metabolic pathways of adaptation, and also provide useful information related to interaction between Exiguobacterium spp. and duckweeds.
