Protein datasets of 1007 bacterial genomes used in Davín et al. (2025, Nature)

This dataset contains the predicted protein sequences (proteomes) of 1007 bacterial genomes analyzed in Davín et al., Nature (2025), “A geological timescale for bacterial evolution and oxygen adaptation”.The genomes span major bacterial phyla and represent the taxonomic sampling used to reconstruct ancestral metabolic states and estimate divergence times across the bacterial tree of life. Each FASTA file corresponds to one genome and contains the complete set of annotated protein-coding sequences used for phylogenetic and trait reconstruction analyses.
