资源简介:

This feature layer represents the sections of Kentucky’s road network that are part of the National Truck Network (NTN), a system of approved state highways and interstates designated for commercial truck travel in the United States. The NTN was authorized by the Surface Transportation Assistance Act of 1982 to provide safe and efficient routes for large trucks involved in interstate commerce. The network allows conventional truck combinations, including tractors with one semitrailer up to 48 feet long or a 28-foot semitrailer with an additional 28-foot trailer, with a maximum width of 102 inches.

The Kentucky portion of the NTN includes approximately 3,700 miles of designated roadways, identified by KYTC’s Division of Planning. Additional resources include an HIS-based Truck Weight Limits query tool, which helps determine weight classifications on State Primary Road System (SPRS) routes. Regulations regarding Overweight and Over-Dimensional Vehicles, as specified in 603 KAR 5:070, outline restricted areas where trucks are prohibited by state law or local ordinance. More information is available on KYTC’s Drive.ky.gov website.

Data Download: https://ky.app.box.com/s/9qnkwj6ki1tfa8ket2sbrz1bv5fnzc4p
