This dataset contains (a) the Baseline Data for the Experimental and Control Groups (2017), and (b) the program of exercises used for the study, and (c) the tests used to assess the test subjects at the start and end of the study. The latter tests consist of a detailed PDF in Hungarian language and a summary in English.

This study investigates the effects of sensorimotor exercises in the institutional environment on neural maturation, with a particular focus on the special auditory and visual skills necessary for learning in 5–8-year-old children attending preschool and elementary school. A total of 772 children participated in the controlled study. During the study, we employed quantitative research methods, with the intervention being a 120-session sensorimotor training program. At the conclusion of the intervention process, our results indicated that there was a significant difference between the experimental and control groups, with the experimental group performing better in terms of the effects of 3–5 weekly sessions of sensorimotor development over a 6–8-month period within an educational institution.
