TEAMx sEOP: UAS In-Situ Meteorological Measurements at Kramsach and Kolsass, Austria

High-resolution Uncrewed Aircraft System (UAS) dataset from the TEAMx Inn Valley Target Area (IVTA) summer Extended Observation Period (sEOP) (Lehner et al. 2026). UAS flights were conducted during 9-23 July 2025 at field sites Kramsach (9-11, 13, 15-20, 22-23 July 2025) and Kolsass (12 July 2025), Austria. Measurement systems: DJI Matrice 350 RTK (uas1-uas3), DJI Matrice 300 RTK (uas4) and DJI Mavic 3 (uas5) with the PARASITE meteorological sensor package (Bramati et al., 2024; Schön et al., under review). One netCDF-4 trajectory file (CF-1.7) per flight, sorted by date and flight start time. Flights are categorized by strategy: (A) calibration flights, (B) test flights, (C) comparison flights, (D) flight plan: simultaneous flights of up to four UAS at all Kramsach sites across the valley ("crest", "slope", "foot of sidewall", "valley center") including a vertical profile up to 2 km above mean sea level and horizontal cross-sections, (E) night flight plan (18-19 July 2025): simultaneous flights of two UAS at Kramsach ("crest", "valley center") including a vertical profile and horizontal cross-sections. Flight phases are classified as ascent (vertical profile), leg (horizontal cross-section), hover (stationary flight), descent and flight in general. Measurements are resampled onto a common time axis with 100 ms (10 Hz) spacing and consist of three groups: (1) UAS state: GPS position, altitudes, 3-D velocity and flight phase; (2) direct measurements: pressure, humidity and temperature (temperature is invalid for uas4 and for all UAS before 11 July 2025 12:00 UTC) together with derived thermodynamic quantities; (3) model-derived 3-D wind vector. The wind estimate is valid only for steady, low-acceleration flight (see attribute wind_flag) and not during descents.
