Cloning of Strigolactone Biosynthesis Genes in Paulownia fortunei

After treating Paulownia seedlings infected with Paulownia Witches' Broom Disease with GR24, we observed a reduction in the number of lateral branches of Paulownia. This indicates that strigolactones can inhibit the development of Paulownia lateral branches. Therefore, based on the high-quality genome map of Paulownia fortunei (Seem.) Hemsl. decoded by our research group, we started with genes related to strigolactone biosynthesis in Paulownia, screened for key genes involved in branching in Paulownia fortunei, and obtained the sequence information of PfD27 through gene cloning.
