AOS: Fine Condensation Particle Counter, 10 nm detection limit

The bnfaoscpcfM1.b1 datastream contains measurements of aerosol concentration from the Aerosol Observing System (AOS) Fine Condensation Particle Counter with a detection limit of 10 nm. This instrument measures sub-micron aerosol particle number concentration by growing the particles to a size that is easily detectable and countable by optical scattering, using a condensing liquid such as butanol or water. The data have been collected at Facility M1 (Bankhead National Forest, AL, the main site for AMF3), which is located at the BNF site (Bankhead National Forest, AL, USA), since October 1, 2024, and collection is ongoing.
