A high-quality, gap-free assembly of Physcomitrium patens nuclear genome

The moss Physcomitrium patens, a model organism for plant biology, has made significant contributions to studies on plant evolution, growth, and development. Although P. patens was the first sequenced non-seed plant, many complex regions of the current genome remain unfinished or erroneous and gaps spread throughout the genome. We are aiming to present a gap-free high-quality assembly of P. patens nuclear genome with the benefits of nanopore long reads, NGS short reads, and Hi-C data.
