Tendon sub-population RNA-seq and whole tendon scRNA-seq in mouse Patellar

Here, we provide a comprehensive cell type composition of the whole, adult patellar tendon 10X Genomics scRNA-seq dataset. Using genetic tools to label tendon stem cells, tenocytes, and fibro-adipogenic progenitors (FAPs), we isolated these population using FACS sorting for downstream deep RNA-seq. We provide transcriptome signatures of these unique populations in their uninjured state as well as during regeneration. This is the first transcriptome of tendon stem cells and scRNA-seq of tendon. This data offers many additional markers for future studies on regeneration and tendon biology.
