These files contain reports on public institutions and many other semi-private bodies such as Schools of Arts. They are concerned with the auditing of the accounts of institutions, the efficacy and desirability of grants of public monies in aid of such institutions and the manner of their expenditure. The arrangement is alphabetical by inspector's name, and within that numerical. This series is continued as NRS 381Main account files, 1930-84.
