LGRB-BW GKBW: Geological overview map (M 1000)

The geological overview map (M 1000) provides an overview of the geological structure of the subsurface of Baden-Württemberg. The content resolution of the data set or map refers to a scale range of 1: 1 million to 1: In total, 12 different higher-level geological units as well as the main tectonic faults of supraregional importance are presented. The data base of the overview map is the high-resolution geology data from Geola (Integrated Geoscience Land Survey of BW), which are subject to an ongoing update and always represent the current state of knowledge of the geology of BW. With the help of a GIS tool for automatic generalisation (AutoGen) developed at the LGRB, the overview map is derived once a year from the current Geola data.
