Hourly Climate Projections for Singapore under SSP2-4.5 and SSP5-8.5

This dataset contains projected future climate time series for Singapore generated under two emission scenarios: SSP2-4.5 and SSP5-8.5. Projections are provided for two future periods, namely mid-century (2046–2065) and end-century (2081–2100). The data were generated using a stochastic downscaling methodology develop by Fatichi et al. (2011; 2016). The stochastic downscaling procedure is based on a combination of locally observed meteorological data for current climate, projections from global climate models (GCMs) for future climate, and the use of an hourly stochastic weather generator, AWE-GEN. The historical observed meteorological data is collected from Paya Lebar station. Information for future climate under two emission scenarios is derived from simulations of 25 GCMs in the Coupled Model Intercomparing Project Phase 6 (CMIP6). For each scenario and time period, 50 realizations were produced for 101 sampled parameter sets of AWE-GEN, resulting in 5050 simulations representing future climate conditions. The dataset includes cliamte variables such as air temperature, precipitation, relative humidity, and global radiation at hourly resolution, supporting high-resolution climate impact modeling for urban planning, water management, and climate adaptation research.
