Volatile organic pollutants (VOCs) need to be treated urgently due to their high toxicity, which seriously threatens the environment and human health. Catalytic oxidation technology is an effective method for VOC removal, and its key challenge lies in the research and development of efficient, economical, and practical catalysts. Three-dimensional ordered macroporous (3DOM) catalysts have attracted considerable attention in the field of environmental catalysis owing to their unique and abundant pore structure, high mass transfer efficiency, large specific surface area, excellent structural stability, and precise structural tunability. In this paper, the types, preparation methods, and application progress of 3DOM catalysts in the catalytic combustion of VOCs are reviewed. Furthermore, their reaction mechanisms and anti-poisoning strategies are discussed in depth. Finally, the development prospects and challenges of 3DOM catalysts in the field of VOCs catalytic combustion are prospected.
