<p>3D scan of a juvenile black caiman (<em>Melanosuchus niger</em>), that measures 1.08 meters. These carnivorous reptiles are one of the largest extant members of the order Crocodilia and can reach a length of up to 5 meters! Black caimans live along freshwater habitats such as slow-moving rivers and lakes in South America. Their size makes them the largest predators in the Amazon basin.</p>
