Periodontitis is an infectious disease caused by dysbiotic shift in microbiome of dental plaque. Adherence activity of Fusobacterium nucleatum to multiple bacteria play in important role in dysbiotic shift by inducing colonization of and synergistic biofilm formation with periodontopathic bacteria such as P. gingivalis. In this study, we investigated effect of soluble material of P. gingivalis on gene expression and protein profile of F. nucleatum to clarify the underlining mechanism in synergy between P. gingivalis and F. nucleatum. To investigate the effect, the two species were co-cultured separated with 0.4 õm pore membrane and gene expression and protein profile of F. nucleatum was compared to that of mono-culture by RNA-seq.
