The Shendong coal was selected as raw material, and four hydrogen-donating solvents, tetrahydro-naphthalene (TH), dihydro-anthracene (DHA), the recycled solvent (RS) used in the Shenhua direct coal liquefaction process, and the mid- distillate (MTD) of the recycled solvent, and a non-hydrogen-donating solvent, anthracene, were selected. The experiment was out in a micro-vibration reactor with a single reaction tube volume of 30 mL. The coal sample, catalyst, co-catalyst S, and solvent placed in the reaction tube, with n(Fe):n(S) = 1:2 and a coal-to-solvent ratio of 2:1. Threes, Fe2O3, Mo-Co/Fe2O3, and Ni-Mo-Co/Fe2O3, were used, with a Fe addition 3% and a metal content of 1% in Ni-Mo-Co and Mo-Co. After a gas tightness test, the reactor was purged andurized three times to remove air from the reactor. Hydrogen (or nitrogen) was then charged to reach a pressure of 8.0 MPa inside the. When the salt bath temperature reached 460℃, the reaction tube was placed in the salt bath to start the reaction. After 60 min of, the heating was stopped and the reaction tube was rapidly cooled to room temperature. The reaction gas was collected first, followed by the reaction products after opening the reactor.
