Raw data of growth, hematology an, antioxidant activities enzyme in Oreochromis niloticus fed guava leaf extract meals.

The data is for an 84-day feeding trial on Nile tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) fed diets with aqueous Psidium guajava leaf extract (PGE). Growth, intestinal morphology, and antioxidative properties were evaluated. A 30% crude protein basal diet was formulated. Concentrated extract (PGE) was dried into powder in hot air-oven at 30oC and mixed with the other feed ingredients at 0.25, 0.50, 0.75 and 1.00% (Diets T1, T2, T3, and T4 respectively).
The result indicates that more feed was consumed in groups of fish fed PGE treated diets. Villi length and width were presented. and the area of absorption calculated. Antioxidant enzyme activities and oxidative marker including total protein, superoxide dismutase, glutathione peroxidase, and glutathione s-transferase were examined in fish.
