This series consists of 16mm films relating to the construction of ships; demonstration of the work undertaken in the Machine Engineering Shop; views of the Opera House and its construction; sea trials; interview with Captain Hooper of the Royal Australian Navy on board the Oceanographic Ship Yard No.71; shipyard interior; ship launches; publicity film on the Hitachi Zosen Company; and the construction of the first hydrofoil.Also included in this series is a reel to reel magnetic audio tape containing a recording of the official naming ceremony of the Cutter Suction Dredger - Ham 211 held on 3rd July. 1971.
