This study focused on remote sensing monitoring and prediction of rice pest and disease occurrences in 38 countries across Asia, Europe and North America, where rice entered the mid-to-late growth stage in September 2022. The projected occurrence area of rice planthoppers is approximately 230 million mu, accounting for 15% of the total rice planting area. These pests mainly occur in the following 14 countries: India, Bangladesh, Thailand, Vietnam, Myanmar, the Philippines, Cambodia, Pakistan, Nepal, Japan, the United States, the Republic of Korea, Laos and Iran.
