This dataset records the year, cumulative area of soil and water loss control of each province in the region for each year from 2006 in the dynamic monitoring of water erosion, including the controlled soil and water loss area of Qinghai, Gansu, Ningxia, Inner Mongolia, Shaanxi, Shanxi, and the total cumulative area of controlled soil and water loss. It is part of the Third National Desertification Survey Data - Dynamic Monitoring Data of Water Erosion. The dataset mainly includes the following attribute data: climatic characteristics of each province in the study area; soil erosion area of each province in the study area (1999); socio-economic status of each province in the region; land use status of each province in the region (1999); annual soil and water loss control area of each province in the region; cumulative annual soil and water loss control area of each province in the region; climatic characteristics of different topographic and geomorphic regions in the Loess Plateau; land use status of each province in the Loess Plateau (1999); soil and water loss status of main tributaries in the sandy and coarse-sandy area of the Yellow River Basin; annual soil and water loss control area in the Loess Plateau; and soil and water loss area at the end of each year in the Loess Plateau.
