Mycoplasma pneumoniae , the smallest free-living and self-replicating microorganism in nature, is capable of causing respiratory tract infections and a variety of extrapulmonary diseases. Among these, Mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia represents the most significant clinical manifestation associated with MP infection, frequently leading to complex complications such as atelectasis and even pulmonary fibrosis. The core objective of this study is to explore the pathological role of the lung microenvironment as a key regulator in epithelial-mesenchymal transition in MPP patients with atelectasis.
