Rhizosphere samples from a 2021 SLU Alnarp field trial in Sweden. Potato cv. Kuras plants were inoculated with Alternaria solani in a randomized block design. Samples were collected over the growing season to assess changes in the microbial community structure in response to pathogen inoculation. DNA was extracted from rhizosphere soil and sequenced for 16S rRNA and ITS regions to characterize bacterial and fungal communities. The dataset supports analyses of plant–microbe–pathogen interactions in agricultural soils under natural field conditions.
