资源简介:
To test the ability of Antarctic fishes to perceive and react to temperature differences, a temperature gradient from -1.8°C to +5.4°C was set up in a trough and fish were monitored to see which part of the trough they chose to move to. Video taped recordings were made of swimming in several fish species at the McMurdo aquarium to work out the relationship between pectoral fin movements and the relative densities of the fishes. Detection of prey, tracking and feeding of the giant Antarctic cod were also observed and recorded on video tape.
