Radical Translations: Biographical data on Translators, Editors and Publishers (Persons and Organisations)

These two interrelated datasets relate to research on agents carried out as part of the <i>Radical Translations </i>project. The 'Persons' dataset contains biographical information on over 1400 revolutionary-era translators (incl. anonymous translators), publishers, booksellers and editors. The 'Organisations' dataset gathers information about the political clubs, societies and institutions to which they belonged. Together, they offer significant opportunities for reconstructing the lived experience of activists and the transnational networks of collaboration and solidarity that sustained revolutionary culture.This is an output of the AHRC-funded project <i>Radical Translations: The</i><i> </i><i>Transfer of Revolutionary Culture Between Britain, France and Italy (1789-1815)</i> (project reference AH/S007008/1) directed by Prof Sanja Perovic (PI), Dr Rosa Mucignat (co-I) and Prof Erica Mannucci (international co-I) and hosted by the Department of Languages, Literatures and Cultures, King's College London.
