This project examined the spatial and temporal variability of 18S rRNA genes amplified from DNA collected at Station ALOHA in the North Pacific Subtropical Gyre. DNA in the picoplankton fraction (0.2-3 um) was collected at the Hawaii Ocean Time-series standard depths (5, 25, 45, 75, 100, 125, 150, 175 m) from February 2011 to May 2013.
