Project Description This dataset supported a study that used participant medical condition data and crash and near-crash event data (and associated baseline epochs) from the SHRP2 dataset to examine the relationship between diagnosed diabetes and motor vehicle crash risk among U.S. adults. Data Request Scope The dataset included information about crashes and near-crashes among diagnosed diabetic participants from the SHRP2 database. Information from the following types of participant groups is included: Type 1 Diabetes, Type 2 non-insulin dependent Diabetes, Type 2 insulin-dependent Diabetes, no diagnosed diabetes. Information is available on a total of 24117 events for both case and control drivers. Data Specification Data for the dataset were taken from the InSight website .
