To investigate contributions of psychological needs (autonomy, competence, relatedness) and coping strategies (self-compassion, leisure-time exercise, achievement goals) to Canadian medical students’ engagement and exhaustion. Two hundred undergraduate medical students at the University of Alberta, Canada, completed an online survey.
